Ordering Amish Furniture, Cabinetry & Quilts

Thank you for your interest in the custom Amish handmade furniture, cabinets, and quilts of Branch Hill Joinery. If you would like a custom furniture piece or kitchen cabinetry designed, please contact me for a quote. All design fees are normally covered in the price of the custom furniture or kitchen. However, if you are not sure whether you want to order and it requires serious design work, there will be a design fee of $50/hour. After you order, this fee will be deducted since it is included in the cost of the furniture or cabinetry.

Branch Hill Joinery craftsmen will construct your Amish custom furniture and Amish custom cabinetry with the greatest of care and craftsmanship. If you require any specific measurements, such as face frame width, minimum drawer sizes, or shelf spacing, these dimensions must be explicitly indicated on any plans you submit. Otherwise, the designer/craftsman will make their best judgment.

Orders for custom Amish furniture and custom Amish cabinets usually take about 2-4 months for completion depending upon the number of pieces in the queue. Farm life (or any life) is not predictable and we cannot guarantee delivery time.

All custom Amish furniture and custom Amish cabinets are guaranteed against any possible construction defects. It is important to realize, however, that quality custom craftsmanship does not mean perfection, especially when many hand tools are being used. Minor imperfections will occur. These may include color variations in the wood, hand planer marks, a slight wavy feel to hand planed surfaces, or minor refinishing touchups. These minor imperfections do not detract from the functionality of the piece. Many of our customers have remarked that these small imperfections are exactly what gives our furniture character, and are also what makes our Amish furniture more similar to real antiques.

We accept cash, checks or major credit cards. A 50% deposit (non-refundable) is required on all furniture orders. The balance is due (or will be charged) before or at the time of delivery. All items are custom made one at a time, and are therefore not returnable.
